Mike Oldale Receives BC Soccer Award of Merit

Posted on July 04, 2017 by Myra Wilson  |  1 Comments

The CVUSC would like to congratulate Mike Oldale for receiving an Award of Merit from BC Soccer. Mike was presented with the award at the BC Soccer AGM in Burnaby on Saturday, June 10th. Mike is a dedicated coach and volunteer in our community and is certainly deserving of this award. When asked what the award means to him, Mike replied, "It's frankly humbling to receive this award. I'm proud to be nominated for it by coaches I have worked with and players I am currently coaching." Mike's accomplishments in soccer are many, but when asked to name the highlight of his soccer career so far his response was, "That's a tough one...maybe winning Provincials in 2009, U13G CVUSC Crimson Crush. Also being on the Steering Committee that formed the VIPL."

Mike will be coaching the U18 Girls Blaze team in the Provincial B Cup this weekend in Surrey. Good luck Blaze!
