Comox Valley United Soccer Club, a 1200 member not-for-profit sports organization, is looking for an Equipment Manager to oversee the organization, maintenance, acquisition and distribution of CVUSC Equipment.  

Hours will vary throughout year, with majority of the hours occurring prior to and upon completion of the Spring and Fall Youth House seasons. Peak times may require up to 20 hours per week. Quiet months are December – February, May, July and October. Hours are flexible and the job can include from home, the CVUSC office and CVUSC storage facilities.

Ideal candidate would have a good knowledge of our local soccer community programs, willing to work approximately 120 hours annually and volunteer experience within the organization would be an asset.
Must possess the following:

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to work flexible hours
  • B.C. Driver’s License
  • Access to a vehicle for transport of equipment to and from storage locker

Duties:

  • Liaise with team managers to identify equipment needs in advance of season
  • Coordinate staff and directors to ensure ample equipment for House Program
  • Transport and prepare equipment for distribution
  • Distribute equipment, including but not limited to, soccer balls, cones, pug nets and other training equipment for House, Select, Futsal and DS Programing
  • Organize equipment return upon completion of House, Select, DS and Futsal Programing
  • Identify and remove worn equipment from inventory
  • Liaise with charitable organizations for the disposal of worn equipment
  • Solicit quotes from suppliers to address equipment shortfall
  • Present purchase requirements to CVUSC Executive Board for approval

Be available for any Equipment needs that arise throughout the soccer season

Completion of a Criminal Record Check will be required. Pay is $18/hour.
