Comox Valley United Soccer Club has over 1800 members ranging in age from 5 years to 75 years old. The club is always anxious to bring new people into “the beautiful game’ at any age. The CVUSC oversees our local youth, women, men and masters teams. Each division has it's own VP with the overall organization of the club overseen by the President. Within the Youth Division, we have a recreational league for children aged 5 to 18 years, kindergarten through Grade 12, and a competitive league for children ages 11 to 18.

A message from our new President - Samantha White

Paul WestAs the new President of CVUSC, I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Samantha White. For those that don’t know, I’ve been with the club, in various roles since the beginning. I started off as part of the Founding Committee of the CVUSC ( In 1999). Throughout the years I’ve been a player (still playing), a coach (still assistant coaching), a division manager of every division from Bambinos up to U11 house (often several divisions at a time). I also had a role from organizer to coach in several other development programs we have offered over the years. About 8 years ago, I was on the organization committee of the last Mini World Cup we hosted. Next May, we are the hosts again, what an amazing event! I know many of you from the community in other ways than soccer, whether it be through hockey, ball, gymnastics or school. I look forward to serving the players, coaches, and parents of our club.

I’d like to thank all the volunteers. As a community club, we appreciate and rely on volunteers for all our programs. I’d also like to thank all our parents for supporting their players throughout the season by getting them to soccer games and practices, even with the inclement weather we have here! This year we have 5 new board members. That along with our more seasoned members, and our amazing office assistant, Cheri will work together to promote the enjoyment of, and participation in, the sport of soccer.

House: Our club has several events coming up worth mentioning. Most of you will already know we have our House Program, which ranges from 4 years old (Bambinos), to U18 starting this weekend April 14th on Saturdays. You will find them on our local fields: Highland, Valley View, and Vanier.

Select: Our Select Program (U12 to U18) will begin their tryouts in June, more information will come out about that soon.

Women: We have a keen group of ladies from the Shooters organizing a drop in Women's Recreational Soccer this Spring:

Their Focus: Provide an opportunity to meet new people and create community through soccer. Other benefits, well know would be for overall health, fitness, and well-being :)
When: Tuesday nights, 6:30 on the Vanier Grass. Register or FMI: cvwomenspringsoccer@gmail.com You can also visit the Comox Valley Women's Spring Soccer Facebook Page.
Hopefully, we'll see you out there! The only criteria is that you are over 25, and can get a hold of a pair of cleats & shin pads. No experience necessary!

Men: Many of the men will participate in a local Spring league on Tuesdays and Thursdays between Comox Valley and Campbell River. There is also a drop in Masters available to play. In closing, as we move forward into 2018, in order to give our kids, coaches and parents/players the best experiences we can, we will be asking for feedback from the membership. We encourage you to take the time to fill out surveys that may come your way.

Kind Regards,
Sam White
CVUSC President
